WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Developing new features on the Shopify website and mobile app, including product pages, collections, checkout processes, and user account management.
- Applying responsive web design principles to optimize the website for various devices and screen sizes, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Managing the integration of third-party APIs and services to enhance e-commerce functionality and streamline business operations.
- Optimizing website performance, loading speed, and SEO through code optimization and following best practices.
- Analyzing and resolving issues related to website functionality, performance, and user experience.
- Designing and executing A/B tests to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of design elements and features.
- Collaborating with the design team to ensure adherence to brand guidelines and industry best practices.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest technology trends and developments in Shopify and e-commerce web development.
- Providing technical support and guidance to team members, sharing knowledge and assisting with problem-solving.
- Monitoring competitor websites and e-commerce platforms to identify emerging trends and opportunities for improvement.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Experience in frontend development with a focus on fashion / e-commerce, specifically using Shopify and Liquid template language.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of responsive web design principles.
- Expertise in optimizing web performance, including code optimization, image compression, and SEO best practices.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and experience in implementing accessible web design.
- Competence in using A/B testing tools and analyzing test results to drive data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of third-party API integrations, including shipping providers and marketing tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to website functionality and performance.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with design teams, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality user experiences.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in Shopify and e-commerce web development.
- Proficiency in using development and collaboration tools such as Git, Jira, and Slack.
